My 4 th Quarter ICT Experience with Sitemaps. The 4 th quarter of this school year has been rough and rewarding, particularly when we learned about the development of sitemaps in ICT. First, I underestimated the time and effort that is needed to plan a website. The need to learn how to structure the content, create a clear hierarchy, and visualize how the users would be using the site made me open my eyes to the role of structure in web design. I came to understand that a sitemap is a blueprint when it comes to a house, everything knows where to be, and the final product would be run smoothly. Making my personal sitemap also made me think critically and be attentive to details. It took logic and creativity to determine what pages were necessary, the way they were to relate and how the site was to be used by the users.
